A chameleon is a lizard-like creature that changes colors to protect itself from predators. If it is placed upon a green leaf, it will turn green, or on a brown leaf it will turn brown. Someone jokingly said, "If you place it upon a plaid shirt it would have a nervous breakdown.

The story of the chameleon reminds me of some Christians I know. They always seem to blend into their surroundings and never stand out in a crowd. Some even attend large churches for this reason. They think that because there are so many folks there, that they can attend when they want to, or stay home when they want to, and no one will ever know or miss them. Also, they think, that enough people are already serving Christ there so they won’t have to.

Dear Christian, if you are reasoning so, please learn a spiritual truth. You cannot hide from God! You are an individual with distinct gifts and talents, and God expects - yea, demands - that you use them for His glory!

The Apostle Paul warned "For we shall stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ!" There all Christians must give an account to Christ of their lives since becoming Christians.

Dear Christians, my advice to you is that if you have just been "sitting," you had better get busy "serving" Christ while you still have time!
