Frances L. Moore
Frances L. “Fannie” Moore, 89, of Row Avenue, Junior, died Thursday evening, Oct. 20, 2005, in Nella’s Nursing Home at Crystal Springs.


She was born Feb. 2, 1916, at Belington, a daughter of the late James Alva and Mary Ellen James Straley. Because of the death of her mother at an early age, Mrs. Moore was raised by the late Joseph and Icie Stout Straley.
 

On June 26, 1937, she was married to Howard C. “Ike” Moore, who preceded her in death March 28, 1986.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara N. Peek of Junior; three grandchildren, Greg (Bobbie Jean) Peek of Junior, Howard (Susan) Peek of Belington and Michele (Tom) Felton of Parsons; four great-grandchildren, Joshua (Kelley) Peek of Junior, Justin Peek and fiancČe, Amanda Lanham, of Belington, Ross Peek of Monongah and Breanna (Joey) McFarlane of Junior; and a great-great-granddaughter, Lacie Marie Peek of Junior.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.


Funeral services will be conducted from the Schoonover-Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Ave., Belington, at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24. The Rev. Doyle N. Rider will officiate and interment will follow in the Mountain View Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Junior.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday. Schoonover- Stemple Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
