HARRISVILLE - A Pullman man accused of fatally shooting a state trooper has pleaded innocent. A trial date was not immediately set for Dennis Ferguson, 67.
Ritchie County Circuit Judge Joseph Troisi will decide next month whether to move the case to another county.
Ferguson was indicted Monday on a first-degree murder count. Police say he shot Trooper Larry Hacker as the officer walked up Ferguson's driveway to investigate a dispute between neighbors.
