Hearing for Trooper's Alleged Killer Delayed
A hearing for a Ritchie County man accused of slaying state Trooper Larry G. Hacker has been reset for 9:30 a.m. Monday in Ritchie County Magistrate Court. Dennis Ferguson, 67, Pullman, is being held without bond in the Ritchie County Jail on a first degree murder charge. The charge stems from an April 9 incident in which Hacker was shot while answering a disturbance call in Pullman. Police allege Ferguson shot Hacker, then would not allow paramedics or others near Hacker. Ferguson was arrested a few hours later in the woods near his home. |
