Jubilant Chicken

Ready-made sweet and sour sauce simplifies the preparation of this easy chicken dish. Sliced peaches are a surprising but delightful addition, creating a subtle flavor change during the leisurely cooking.

 

For 4 servings you will need:

1 frying chicken, 3 to 3 1/2 lbs., cut up
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 bottle (8 oz.) sweet and sour sauce
1 green pepper, slivered
1 medium onion, cut into rings
1/2 can (16 oz.) sliced peaches, drained

Preparation:

Place chicken, skin side up, in lightly oiled baking pan. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Pour melted butter over pieces. Bake at 3250F about 30 mm. or until browned.

Meanwhile, combine chili sauce and sweet and sour sauce, mixing well. Pour over chicken. Top with green pepper, onion rings and sliced peaches. Continue baking chicken 45 min. longer or unttil done.

Good served with Buttered rice and lettuce and tomato salad.
